Anne Daley - Ballot Cure Coordinator for the FDP spoke at our last DEC meeting about the need for volunteers to help with calls to voters with ballots that need to be cured for either address or signature issues. So far, the state has 13,000 mail in ballots that need curing! And of course the same will be needed after the general election in November. This is a very worthwhile project - as noted in 2024 when these calls resulted in an additional 10,000 votes!  You don't need a background in elections or a law degree, but if you have that experience we need you, too. If you can give a few hours and bring a willingness to show up for your fellow Floridians, you can help protect the right to vote in 2026. Training is every Saturday at 10am and Tuesday at 2pm. Florida’s vote-by-mail rules have changed—and many Charlotte Democrats are no longer signed up to get a mail ballot in 2026. These are some of our most reliable voters—and unless we reach them, many could be left behind. Your quick, helpful conversations will make a real difference. You can make calls whenever it works for you–anytime between 9am-8pm on Mon-Sat, and 11am-7pm on Sun!  Sign up to be sent all the details and begin making your calls. Training and support provided.

Join Florida Democrats for our Statewide Action Nights, with phonebanks running each night from 5-9 PM. Together, we’ll call voters who may not vote this year unless they hear from us about Angie Nixon, David Jolly, and Democrats up and down the ballot. Volunteers from across the state can plug in for a shift, make calls with our dialer, and help us reach more voters as we build toward Election Day.

Find your tribe every 4th Tuesday in the great outdoor setting of Ponce De Leon Park, Punta Gorda. We are expecting you! The Charlotte County Democratic Club is sponsoring an informal gathering in a park setting to promote and expand good fellowship of like-minded people. Bring your cooler for your beverages of choice. Snacks to share are welcome!This is not a business meeting and there is no agenda. Speak your mind in a safe environment. Come and be in solidarity with all who believe that resistance can make a difference.

Join us in Faith Hall at the Congregational United Church of Christ in Punta Gorda to help stuff bags with voting literature from the candidates and from the DEC. These bags will be distributed to voter's doors in the upcoming weeks.  Bring a friend or 3 to help!  

"Please Share" by bringing canned goods/ toiletries (especially toothbrushes, toothpaste) for donation to the Food Bank.

Come and join the fun with fellow Democrats! It will be held at Artur's Restaurant at 70 N. Indiana Ave., Englewood. They have great food and drinks! Drinking Liberally gives like-minded, left-leaning individuals a place to learn from peers, trade jokes, vent frustration. Hang out in an environment where it's not taboo to talk politics. Solve the world's problems! Don't worry if you don't drink alcohol many of our members prefer soft drinks. See you there!

Join Us for Community, Conversation, and Inspiration! You are cordially invited to attend the Charlotte County Democrat Club's monthly regular meeting. Doors will open at 10:00 AM for a friendly meet and greet, complete with treats to enjoy. The meeting will begin promptly at 10:30 AM. This month we will be planning for the protection of Democracy in Florida, and the Nation.  Our guest speaker is Supervisor of Elections, Leah Valenti.   She will be advising us on all the ins & outs of the upcoming elections.  We welcome like-minded neighbors and friends to visit.   If time permits, we will also host an open mic session for members to share thoughts and ideas. We look forward to seeing you there!  All are welcome, but you must be a registered Democrat to join the Club.
