Anne Daley - Ballot Cure Coordinator for the FDP spoke at our last DEC meeting about the need for volunteers to help with calls to voters with ballots that need to be cured for either address or signature issues. So far, the state has 13,000 mail in ballots that need curing! And of course the same will be needed after the general election in November. This is a very worthwhile project - as noted in 2024 when these calls resulted in an additional 10,000 votes!  You don't need a background in elections or a law degree, but if you have that experience we need you, too. If you can give a few hours and bring a willingness to show up for your fellow Floridians, you can help protect the right to vote in 2026. Training is every Saturday at 10am and Tuesday at 2pm. Some elections are won or lost by a handful of votes.  Help us get every last vote in Charlotte County.. Make calls at your convenience from 8-8.  Call Charlotte County Democrats who got a ballot by mail but haven't submitted it yet. Remind them to bring it to an early voting location. Sign up and immediately get a text with the Virtual Phone Bank link. If you're reading this on ELECTION DAY, it's not too late. This phone bank includes only voters who haven't voted.

Join Florida Democrats for our Statewide Action Calls, with phonebanks running each week night from 5-9 PM, and every Saturday and Sunday from 12-5 PM. Florida Democrats are running ahead of the national environment. We've flipped 40 seats from red to blue since 2024, and we have a real opportunity to win up and down the ballot this November. But we have to put in the work -- and that's why we're so glad you're here. Together, we’ll call voters who may not vote this year unless they hear from us about Angie Nixon for U.S. Senate, David Jolly for Governor, and all the Democrats on their ballots. Join volunteers from across the state to make calls from home using our Scale to Win dialer and help us reach the voters we need to win on Election Day. You can call with a smartphone, laptop, tablet, or computer. Your personal phone number stays hidden, and calls come from a Florida Democratic Party number. Find your tribe every 4th Tuesday in the great outdoor setting of Ponce De Leon Park, Punta Gorda. We are expecting you! Let's celebrate our season of victory as Dems gather to enjoy good company and make our final push days before the election. The Charlotte County Democratic Club is sponsoring an informal gathering in a park setting to promote and expand good fellowship of like-minded people. Bring your cooler for your beverages of choice. Snacks to share are welcome!This is not a business meeting and there is no agenda. Speak your mind in a safe environment. Come and be in solidarity with all who believe that resistance can make a difference.

All are welcome to join us for the Englewood Club's General Membership Meeting! Refreshments and Adult beverages will be served following the meeting. Kindly bring a snack to share if you can. NO GLASS CAN BE BROUGHT INTO THIS FACILITY!   Please share by bringing canned goods/ toiletries (especially toothbrushes, toothpaste) for donation to a Food Bank.

Drinking Liberally gives like-minded, left-leaning individuals a place to learn from peers, trade jokes, vent frustration. Hang out in an environment where it's not taboo to talk politics. JOIN "COFFEE TIME" with the ENGLEWOOD DEMOCRATIC CLUB on the 3rd Tuesday of each month. Come and have coffee & treats with your Democratic friends.

***NEW DAY*** This event gives like-minded individuals a place to learn from peers, trade jokes, vent frustration and hang out in an environment where you can have a drink/ dinner with old friends meet new friends. We play a game of Trivia with a prize for the winners. Drinking Liberally will be held on the third Wednesday of each month.  Don't worry if you don't drink alcohol, many of our attendees do not as well! Our new location is Beef O'Brady's in Punta Gorda, FL!!!

All registered Democrats are encouraged to participate in our monthly DEC meeting. The meeting is a hybrid meeting. You can attend in person at the Punta Gorda Charlotte Library or via Zoom.
